JULIE POITRAS SANTOS I'm a visual artist and writer, making video, installations and public projects. Since 2005, a component of my practice as an artist has involved creating walks. These projects have taken different forms; from community projects, to ritual walks; walks that pursue ideas of pilgrimage, and walks that invite community storytelling and have a narrative structure. Some of the projects have involved larger groups, while other projects have been created with small teams of artists. Bringing writing more actively into my practice, I've encountered the deep relationship between walking and writing. You can see more of my work here.
